Anne Frank House opening hours
The regular hours are 09:00 to 22:00, every day. A few dates differ: 1 January starts at 12:00, 27 April (Koningsdag) and 4 May close at 17:00, and 25 and 31 December close at 17:00. On 7 November 2026 the museum closes at 18:30. The list further down shows each exception.
The opening hours are the range of the day, not your entry time. Your ticket is for one time slot, so arrive for that slot and plan about an hour inside. Tickets are sold only by the museum, see Anne Frank House tickets. For a walk outside the museum, there are walking tours of Jewish Amsterdam.

Exceptions in 2026. Some dates repeat every year, so check the calendar for your own date.

Rules on arrival
What to know before you reach the entrance.
No photos or filming
Photography and filming are not allowed inside the museum. This includes cameras built into smart glasses.
Small bags only
On the route you may carry a bag smaller than an A4 sheet. Coats, larger bags and buggies can go to the cloakroom. Large backpacks and suitcases cannot be stored, so leave them somewhere else first.
Audio tour included
The audio tour comes with the ticket in German, Dutch, English, French, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
Café and shop
The café and the shop can be reached only through the museum. You pay there by bank or credit card. Do not plan to visit them without a ticket.
Access and mobility
The historic part, the front house and the rear building, is not accessible by wheelchair or other mobility aids. The route includes three steep flights of stairs and a high threshold of 39 cm. The modern part is partly accessible, with staff showing the suitable entrance and lift, and it holds a temporary exhibition, models, the café and the shop. There are seats at the start and at the end of the visit, and a portable stool can be requested at the information desk.
The historic floor plan of the Secret Annex is not a promise that you can enter every room. Read what the Secret Annex looks like today before you go. The route to the entrance is on the getting there page.
